Lutfur loses in the High Court

September 22, 2010 by trialbyjeory

Just heard from a very reliable Labour source that Lutfur went to the High Court this morning, but a judge in the last couple of hours has ruled that his petition to block the Abbas nomination was unsuccessful.

He may well appeal, but things don’t look good for him. His candidacy as an Independent looms larger…

it’s funny how this guy NEVER seems to run out of money. lots of his supports are whining about “Party Democracy” although plently of them haven’t been in the party that long – or indeed are still active in Respect.

    I ask them

What is there response to the allegations against Lutfur in terms of buying members, or undeclared supported from rich business persons? Does he deny them or not?

I know plently of them read this blog and am interested to hear!!

Lutfur is a saint. He wouldnt hurt a fly.

As Keith Vaz has said, any one can make allegations.

The ONUS IS ON THOSE THAT ALLEGE TO SHOW SOLID PROOF OF ANY WRONGDOING – AS I UNDERSTAND IT THE WHOLE OF THE LABOUR PARTY STRUCTURE I.E. KEN CLARKE ARE THE PROBLEMO.

As regard the allegations there needs to be a proper investigation run independantly of the NEC. The allegations remain a stain on Lutfur’s character and he has the legal right to clear his name, no matter what happens under Article 6 of the Human Rights Act.

As regards his financial support that again is subject to a police enquiry, but all he has done is to challenge LP procedures in court to test their legal validity. There is nothing wrong with that.

As far as his financial backers is concerned he has teh support of a number of small buisnessmen in teh Brick Lane area.

Is anyone suggest he should be debarred from standing because of his ‘rich friends’? What about Peter Mandelson or Tony Blair!

Stuart you hit the nail on the head.

This is all a smokescreen for ditching the popular candidate by the New Labour powers that be?

It seems likely that Lutfur will run independently. I’ve only met him once so I would not be the first to know anyway!

Will you join me and other local members in campaigning for him?

Yes, I will certainly campaign for Lufur.
