In 2007, a balding George Galloway and a few other bald men fought over the comb that was the imploding Respect/SWP “the Unity coalition” party. Due to a spat with the SWP about who owned the rights to the precious Respect name, Galloway’s main rump called themselves Respect Renewal. Separately, a gang of four councillors, largely cheesed off with the way their group leader Abjol Miah was running the show, split off to form a new group called Respect (Independent).
Eight years later and history is (kinda) repeating, albeit with some different faces and the musical chairs moving in different directions.
Back then the gang of four comprised Oli Rahman, Lutfa Begum, her daughter Rania Khan and Ahmed Hussain. Not long afterwards, Ahmed joined the Tories, where he is still well regarded, while the other three were bought off/recruited by Labour.
This morning the group that used to be called Tower Hamlets First and which is now known as Independents suffered its first split. Abjol Miah, upset at not retaining his paid position as a member of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee (instead, and incredibly, the job of scrutinising council business falls to grants king Maium Miah and the Prince of Narcissism Mahbub Alam), texted a couple of colleagues and then emailed John Williams, the council’s head of democratic services, to say he was quitting the group.
His move took some by surprise, not because he was defecting but because he was doing it alone. In the background there had been discussions about a few of them forming a new group. These talks had been taking place not just in the wake of Rabina Khan’s defeat, but also before it. What the disgruntled councillors had in common was a shared frustration at the way Lutfur Rahman (yes, him) was still effectively controlling things.
Last week, according to an insider, the Deposed Dear Leader met his former THF councillors to declare that Rabina would remain his candidate for mayor in 2018. Apparently his word was final, just as it had been when he selected her after his Election Court humiliation in April. No discussion, nada.
This, I’m told, was too much to stomach for some. To them, he was the cause of their current predicament – so how dare he not suggest an open and transparent selection process (ie a vote).
So a number of them set about planning a split. I’m told that those planning to do so are the Independents’ group leader, Oli Rahman (the six day Acting Mayor and the Lady Jane Grey of Tower Hamlets politics); Shahed Ali; ex-deputy mayor Ohid Ahmed; Shafiqul Haque; and Mohammed Mufti Miah.
The first four were all Labour councillors. Whether Abjol would join them to make a group of six is not clear.
Were this to happen, their initial task would be to choose a name: Independents First? Independent (Independent)? Independent Renewal? Choices on the back of a postcard please.
More substantially (and I use that word advisedly), there would also be implications for the system of proportionality. The main Independents group would drop to 11 in number, while the new gang would have possibly six members. The former would lose entitlement to some committee positions, while the latter would gain some.
For the most part, and I think Abjol is the exception here, the possible defectors would like to return to Labour. Were that to happen, there would be so many dead bodies left in Labour the calls for a Tower Hamlets cemetery would become irresistible.
That said, it’s clear Lutfur is planning a long term comeback and that Rabina is working hard on strengthening her grassroots support. Labour is likely to have a fight on its hands in 2018, and by 2022 Lutfur will be eligible to stand as mayor again (in fact he could try for a vacated councillor position in 2019…if he’s not bankrupted by court costs, of course).
So the aim of the game for John Biggs (and at an iftar for the Labour group on Tuesday night, pictured left, he made clear he’d want to stand again, although some tell me they’d like to see Sirajul Islam given a chance) must be to secure re-election, as well as running a decent council.
His hand is strengthened by weakening those of his opponents. Oli et al, believe it or not, do carry some votes. Deals that fall short of re-admittance to Labour can always be made.
Murky, but that’s politics I suppose.
Were this to happen, their initial task would be to choose a name: Independents First? Independent (Independent)? Independent Renewal? Choices on the back of a postcard please.
Sorry, am out of postcards. Will this suffice instead ?
1. THF Independents
2. Tower Hamlets Independents
3. Interdependent THF Independents
4. Lutfur First Independents
5. Rabina Group Independents
6. New Independents
🙂
Maybe they should call themselves what all think they are
INDEPENDENTS WHO WANT TO DEPEND ON COUNCIL ALLOWANCES
Or,
Independent Allowance Beneficiaries ?
I think “Lutfur First” is clearly the best choice…
Now we need a Party song for the Lutfur First group 🙂
CC.
Party song? Lutfur would rework the national anthem with his name worked into it if he could.
I had another thought for a new party name. THF Reloaded – This time it’s personal!
They could bring out a box set with their smug ugly mugs all over it.
God save our gracious mayor
Long live our noble mayor
God save Mayor Rahman
Send him victorious over the local rabble
Human Rights means he never has to babble
Long may his excellency rule over us
And plaster his pictures on every bus
To our Mayor we give our souls and all our money
Its unfortunately it sticks to his palms like honey
God gave us this wonderful gift from above
To whom Tower Hamlets First deeply love
Never again shall Hamlets Labour reign
And the Tories hopes are all in vain
We reject and ignore all the UKIP whims
And nobody now loves the faded Lib-Dims
Daily we devoutly pray
The mayor may do whatever he may
Floating on endless clouds of hopes
Above ballot boxes stuffed with votes
God Save Our Mayor.
Who can set this to music ?
Curious Cat

Or if he doesn’t end up in gaol for longer than three months and is permanently disqualified….
Is there any news on the proposed criminal proceedings against Rahman? A conviction would hopefully put the cap on any plans of a glorious return.
Its really depends on whether Hogan-Howe’s cowboys and gals think the following is serious enough for them to bother ……
Formal Conclusions

My thoughts entirely CC and have been for some time. He is in the position of having the words ” criminal ” and ” corrupt ” used about him by a High Court Judge. This isn’t going to go away.
IMO the Met will find it hard NOT to progress matters further – because:
1) They’ve been accused of doing nothing leaving individuals to highlight the problems in an Election Court
2) Words used in the Judgement – which I can’t see any Judge using without some careful thought as to whether it meets the criteria for such descriptions
3) It’s logical given the judgement
4) they’ve considerably upgraded the expertise dedicated to the investigation
My take on the whole thing is that back in 2010 and 2014 the Met originally assigned officers who were too junior, too wet behind the ears or too lacking in brain cells and initiative to do a ‘quick and dirty’ investigation with a view to finding nothing – thereby avoiding rocking the boat and being accused of being racist.
I have a suggestion for the new party name. I was thinking that a number of boxes should be ticked, bear with me, I’m being serious!
Tower Hamlets Wurst?
My case is as follows:-
A – Obviously, a wurst is a German sausage. THF was, and is still led by its very own budget former dictator. I know Ahad Miah would approve, if his past Facebook and Twitter pages are anything to go by.
B – Wurst sounds like worst. So quite appropriate, as they have proven to be the worst but bunch of people I’ve even seen up for election.
C – Conchita Wurst, again, bear with me…(even though she was a winner – Eurovision 2014 – and they are losers) think of her name – Con-cheater? Ring any bells? Let’s face it, I bet if you look up conning cheater, there must be a reference to THF. Though I’m unsure Manboob Narcisus Alam would welcome the face fur competition. Though getting Conchita to front his facial hair care campaign could bring his products to an untapped global market…I’d be careful at photo shoots, as I hear some of THF have a thing for bearded ‘ladies’!
D – Wurst comes in multiple varieties, a bit like THF members’ political membership. Blink, and they’ll change again. I think Ted got it right by likening their shifting to musical chairs. I wonder if they have a magical political 8 Ball with all major parties listed?
Let no one say that I’ve not tried to help. My work here is done.
It doesn’t look like Lutfur plans a return, if things are falling apart like they are. I’d say the whole lot of them are a busted flush.
We can only dream.
Can I ask -since you show no sign of ever putting biggs under the same amount of scrutiny as you did the last lot… Aren’t people going to get a little bored of you banging on about the opposition?
Nope. Traffic figures are booming thanks.
If you have information or tips on what to investigate then do email me. It’s how much of journalism works….particularly when it’s unpaid and done as a hobby. Ta.
You could take a look at Sir Robin
Would you like to fund me to do that? How much would you like to donate?
You are wrong. I’d put all groups under the same scrutiny. Though I doubt many would be as blatant in their continued abuse and arrogance.
We need to scutinise the new regime with the same rigor as the previous one.
The new cabinet and appointments are already a cause for concern. How is it right to appoint Marc Francis as CHAIR OF DEVELOPMENT AND STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE and his wife Rachel Blake as CABINET MEMBER FOR STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT? They are both members of the same family, both councillors for the same ward.
While it is good to work together in harmony there is always a need for challenge and differing opinions. Having two such pivotal roles in one family is not only opening the door to dodgy dealings it also stifles creativity.
We definitely need to watch these two very carefully!
Skeptical,
You have a good point.
I wonder why Labour women tend to use their maiden name in politics.
CC.
CC. Need to cast back to the heady days of 60s and 70s Women’s Lib. Many women decided to keep their birth surname rather than take on their husband’s birth surname. Various reasons: professional qualifications & legal documents in original birth surname; didn’t need to be seen as ‘belonging’ to a man; for some, a Western ‘tradition’.
Other cultures, for example, Spain, Nick Clegg’s wife kept her original names.
Thanks for your perspective Aym. That’s really useful knowledge.
Mistakenly I thought most women wanted to swoon into the arms of their chosen man gasping ‘take me, I’m yours’.
Looks like many Labour women failed to get their once-in-a-life-time special person. That’s sad. Hence their gloomy faces and their often dismal political performance.
Curious Cat.
As Biggs has been in office for three weeks there isn’t really very much to scrutinise.
The appointments are an issue.
Biggs has chosen to use what I would argue is a rather dull crop of Labour councillors to source his team rather than being big like his name, dropping all partisan feelings and drawing on all the talent available to get the best team to move the borough forwards.
If Biggs wanted to end divisive politics he would have let at least one of the Independents become involved, that is not the same as letting them back into the Labour Party, it is about rebuilding relationships and trust and getting the best for the borough. The Tories are only 5 but have quite a lot of talent and Biggs should not underestimate the amount of Tory and other non Labour votes that got him the mayoralty.
Tower Hamlets Labour is plagued by the control of cliques which has meant that many of the most talented, especially the most talented Bangladeshis, are marginalised and not selected, This has left John with a very limited selection. Such a limited selection that he had to pick husband and wife to control strategic development over the kitchen table while arguing about who was changing the nappy.
Such a limited selection! but they are Biggs’ own wonderful selection of December 2013 – this should be scruitinised, how did they get chosen, they were not selected by the wards but by London Labour. We all know that is not true they were selected by Biggs and ?
The cliques rule Tower Hamlets Labour party and now the cliques rule Tower Hamlets council. This is also a kind of corruption.
Biggs’ regime is also suffering from a bout of superiority. They think they are so wonderful that they do not need the Overview and Scrutiny Committee to be chaired by someone from the opposition. They are obvlously uncorruptible and don’t need the normal checks and balances. (is this the expression of the institutional racism? I challenge the concept most of the time but this incident does stink!)
There was uproar in council when Oliur dared to want the post but the question is why not? Oliur is sharp he would do the job well and embrace the responsibility and the chance to prove himself. Alternatively Peter Golds or Andrew Wood could also have been very good at this role so why has it become a ‘job for the boys’ and given to John Pierce. Incidentally while a great orator Pierce is a total chicken. He is very happy making gestures in the council and highlighting the shame of the other side but was totally unable to stand up for justice outside of the chamber, like all of his mates, too afraid to come forward and stand with those who were openly challenging what was going on in the real world, too risky, too dangerous for his votes.
Of course he is part of the clique. Heads down, don’t offend the voters.
Scrutiny? as long as it doesnt lose votes, doesn’t get us labelled as racist, doesn’t rock the boat.
Oliur Rahman as Chair of the O&S? Think it through. And as for him being ‘sharp,’ the man made an idiot of himself on Wednesday.
He, like all the other ex-THF councillors who were elected through corrupt and illegal practices, is angry at all the wrong people. He and the rest should start condemning the lying and corrupt ex-Mayor and distancing themselves from his corrupt regime. This would be the first step in the right direction.
Dave Roberts wrote:-
As Biggs has been in office for three weeks there isn’t really very much to scrutinise.
which means, in the English I understand, there is never-the-less SOMETHING to scrutinise.
Dual-mode Skeptical (reader & thinker) hit the nail on the head, when he wrote ……
rather than being big like his name, dropping all partisan feelings and drawing on all the talent available to get the best team to move the borough forwards.
If Biggs wanted to end divisive politics he would have let at least one of the Independents become involved ……………… The Tories are only 5 but have quite a lot of talent ……….. the most talented Bangladeshis, are marginalised and not selected …….
Biggs is just another manifestation of what is fundamentally wrong with Labour – they don’t care about anyone or anything so long as they are promoting themselves.
Biggs, whose face looks to me as Irish, is NOT governing for the people of Tower Hamlets. He is now running a Labour Party council dedicated to serving the political needs of a tarnished Labour Party.
If Biggs had brain cells, and was not a political coward, he would have enlarged the Cabinet to the maximum possible number (defined by law at around 10, I think) AND appointed to his Cabinet:-
* Golds
* Wood
* At least one Independent
* at least one of the
Regrettably Biggs is IGNORING the fact that he is supposed to be governing for the People of Tower Hamlets in a non-political way. In the public’s best interest, talented people, regardless of their political affiliation, should be working together to improve the Borough.
Instead we have a very dubious, totally unnecessary, double-appointment of husband and wife. Anyone with any brains would instantly know, that is a Big No No.
Tower Hamlets needs talent not the same old Labour nepotism – Labour’s trademark.
How long before Tower Hamlets becomes a Rotten Labour Borough ?
Curious Cat
P.S. Skeptical, your posting was really excellent – are you applying to be a political advisor to John Biggs 🙂
There are no talented people in the ex-THF, now Independent group. All were found to have come to office through corrupt and illegal practices. Biggs is right not to appoint them to any office which would be a betrayal of the electorate.
Any appointment of any one of them would be divisive in itself.
The author of this article has not revealed their name and provided many own opinions. Hard to see what the opinions are bases on. Or even sources and facts.
You are kidding aren’t you? Try the ‘About’ section for bio and as for opinions, it’s call research and journalism.
Thomson,
Do have a read of http://law.slough.info/law46/law46.php
It will probably take you perhaps 5 hours to fully digest all of it.

Which article?
He very obviously does not understand blogs.
Thompson – you are a complete plonker!
Don’t you know the first rule of commenting on blogs is “check out the author”?
See https://trialbyjeory.com/about/ but since you might not be able to find the tab you missed the first time here it is again!
Once you’ve finished reading this maybe you could move on to….
https://trialbyjeory.com/nice-things-said-about-this-blog/
Then once you’ve grasped who writes it and why people read it, you could always start in May 2010 and try reading the archives. There’s over five years of material sitting behind current articles much of which has already been read by current fan of this blog.
Meic Sullivan Gould could always get the Independents together, throw a coin in the air and call heads and tails. The winners could then accept the name of the Tossers, secured on the toss of a coin.
🙂
The remarks about the abilities of police officers in Tower Hamlets Division and their ability to think made by you couldn’t make it up ” too junior, too wet behind the ears, too lacking in brain cells ” whilst a little unkind, if applied to the totally misnamed ” Community Safety Unit ” at Limehouse police station would be entirely appropriate.
The function of the unit seems to have been to only investigate complaints by ethnic minorities against white people and I understand that a complaint is about to be made against the unit and one named former officer of actual criminal activity. I’ll keep you briefed as the matter progresses.
Does anyone know what has happened to the former divisional commander whilst all the Lutfur corruption was taking place. Has he been promoted sideways? If criminal charges are brought against Lutfur and others whether convictions result or not he should be sacked.
If Wednesday’s meeting set the tone for what’s to come, the words ‘elected by corrput and illegal practices’ applied to the ex-THF mob are not going to away.
To Jay Kay: Really? What makes you think that?
I think they should call themselves the Judean Peoples Front.

Poweeer to the peeepol!
Get real. This is Tower Hamlets were the people have no power. Everyone likes to dream even those suffering from sunstroke 😉
I wonder what the commissioners think of the mayors appointments?
I hope the commissioners are so disgusted that it makes them stay longer.
In fact it would be a good idea if they could stay until the 2020 referendum when the executive mayor will be abolished.
The Commissioners will be pleased at the appointments. It was the ex-Mayor’s corrupt regime that was responsible for putting the Commissioners in place and it has cost residents over £1m. Had any of the ex-THF Councillors who were elected through corrupt and illegal means, been appointment the Commissioners would be inclined to stay around longer.
Rabina for Mayor in 2018? That is a disaster waiting to happen again. Why doesn’t the (officially corrupt ex mayor) Mr. Rahman and his blinded squad see that people do not accept Rabina (if they really sobbed over Lutfurs eviction then she would of won).
People in the borough are fed up they genuinely want change and this time im surprised that the race game has ended and people didnt vote a person because they were either Muslim or Bengali. John won because he has principle and thats what the people wanted.
In the case of Ohid Ahmed im sure he has already began his operation to reunite himself with his past labour buddies and go back to the party with a gang of Councillors (Cllrs Asad, Shahed and Shafiqul) tip toeing behind him. Cllr Oliur walks in the direction of publicity and fame so wherever he gets that he’ll be happy.
THL
Does anyone actually believe, apart from the deluded souls themselves, that any of Lutfir’s crown will be allowed back into Labour?
This is probably a hangover from the previous administration but the outer wrapper around the current issue of East End Life is an advert for Muslim Aid which it seems is a front for extremists. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/conservative/113378461/Muslim-charity-stripped-of-state-funding-over-extremism-fears
It could be a total coincidence that this has happened and it looks like a paid for advert but I would have thought that someone in the advertising department could have put two and two together and worked out that the same person who put in commissioners also cut the funding, Eric Pickles.
Once again the link doesn’t work. Can some of you more net savvy persons out there give it, there are others as well.
Have tried without success. Telegraph’s web site is a computer mess devoid of logic.

Thought I would share this with you. The spelling is great. http://www.BangladeshMatters.com Enjoy!
Oh you mean this ?
http://bangladeshmatters.com/sunni-divisive-discourse/
They were sleeping when a biased eloctoral judge Richard Mawrey sacked decapacitated Lutfur, Britains first Muslim mayor of Tower Hamlets for referring voters to Islaam in electoral campaign.
Yep, that nasty old man Richard Mawrey is unfair to Muslim crooks – he treats them like white crooks – instead of ignoring modern day practises from the Indian sub-continent such as voting frauds and other irregularities.
What Right has Mawrey to impose Western standards on Bangladeshi Muslims practising their Rights given to them by Allah to manipulate local election results ? Shameful way to treat THF Muslims. Why does Mawrey want all election candidates to be treated equally when some are not even Muslim and some are not THF activists ?
There should be a law to stop interfering people like Mawrey audaciously moving the Petition hearing away from Tower Hamlets, where Muslim witnesses could more easily be intimidated, to a place like a big High Court where guns, knives, violence and threats are not tolerated.
Surely vulnerable Moslem citizens in Tower Hamlets should have a Human Right to be intimidated by a bunch of Bangladeshi creeps ? After all it happens all the time in Bangladesh and everyone knows intimidation is a lot cheaper than paying bribes.
“Brother” Ameenur Rasheed, Editor, http://www.BangladeshMatters.com is not happy with fair elections in Tower Hamlets. He seems to think politics should be influenced by whatever the local clerics think is the Islamic-approved method of fixing local elections. Terrible that silly old Mawrey disagrees.
What should England deny to unscrupled Moslems their Right to bully and cheat normal law-abiding, respectful and really nice Moslems of their personal desire to vote for their choice of candidate ?
I blame education for girls. Telling girls things that are bad for them, filling their small minds with stupid Western notions of gender equality is fundamentally bad for modern Muslim society particularly in Tower Hamlets.
A good Muslim from the old country knows woman have three functions, to keep the bed warm on winter nights, to cook and clean and have children AND to obey their master.

Anyone else underwhelmed by Biggs first weeks in office. He appoints a ragbag of mates to office, has beens, never was and dear old Josh Peck whose career highlight was pouting with Mary Portas on Channel 4.The whole bunch collectively were happy to coast along, claiming their allowanceswhile Rahman got up to his dastardly deeds.Yet Biggs has the gall and i quote”I’m pleased to be leading a talented and hard working team”
Already there are signs he is dithering on abolishing East End Life.He makes two more costly ,needless appointments. The usual people who have never had a real job.Content to ride that public gravy train till they retire in their mid fifties.Bit like Biggs himself. You can safely bet the new CEO will be of the same ilk.No experience of private industry, just of the same ilk as above. What this borough is crying out for is someone who is not afraid to slash this bloated workforce and idle practices in no time. Will it happen under Biggs?no chance.
But where he has really dropped the ball is by not vetoing the appointment of Susmita Sen as new boss of Tower Hamlets Homes..Yet another public purse sniffer.Whose great CV includes working at Hackney Homes.Which is even worse than TTH and that is saying something! If he was really serious about ridding the borough of this profligate, over blown, over staffed organisation he would have been on the ball and acted. How on earth does the council justify paying £130,000 for this role.Acting now would save the tax payers a huge sum.If Biggs does discover some balls and does end TTH we will be looking at another of those huge payouts so beloved by Rahman to get rid of her.
I know for a fact many TTH residents voted for Biggs, rather than Khan because they had more than enough of her and Rahman continually playing the defender of the poor and low paid.Yet without fail annually raising rents and service charges.Al to fund Gavin Cansfields grandiose vision.Money squandered yearly, just to finance a ever expanding care taking team.If TTH is to continue this directorate must be cut.How ludicrous to have one caretaker per block.Barely there ,no work to do.Endless amounts of cash spent on procurement.Even tenants and leaseholders funding TTHs own green team. This work could be,should be done by the councils own under worked, under used green team.As Biggs was part of previous past idle councils again don’t hold out chances of reform. Why not considering how little the caretakers have to do,cut the vast numbers, install a mobile team, all easily accheivable.Or better yet get rid of the entire caretaking directorate with the endless tiers of management and supervisors and let Veolia clean the estates as part of their contract.Something has to change and at the least a independent investigation of TTH practices should be carried out.The whole staff seem more interested in accessing Social Media than doing any real work.
As fo Biggs and his proud boast of ridding tax payers of the council car.Could he inform us if said chauffeur is still on the council payroll.Has he been found another cushy post elsewhere in the bowels of the Town Hall. How about sending him off to TTH. I am reliably informed that they appear to be offering jobs to all and sundry if they want it.
So Mr Biggs time to raise your game or you will be history, next election. You wont get all those votes from the estates again.
Biggs had no control over the appointment of Sumita Sen at THH. It was done during the time when there was no Mayor. According to the recruitment pack, the post is a 3 year contract so depending on the contract terms may be ended without penalty.
Sumita Sen claims to have taken Ealing Homes from a one star audit commission rating to 2 stars. This is untrue. The reality is, she took it from 2 stars to one and eventually it was abolished during her period as CE. It must also be just a coincidence that she worked at Hackney Homes at the same time as Jamie Carswell the current, and much disliked, Acting CE of THH.
During Rabina’s term of office at Lead member for housing, Service Charges for THH residents increased by around 30%.
The pernicious, lying and deceitful THH that operates like some secret society funded by residents must be scrapped.
Dear jeory, could you investigate This Newspaper “east london news” Portal please, the Jamaat e Puppets the Lutfur Rights have many many many News portals which usually makes Political Jamaat e Right Wing propaganda to brainwash the masses in East london for their political Wahhabi Fascist Agenda, aimed particularly at the Bangladeshi Muslim Community . go through all their articles, they tend to lie quiet a bit for a political agenda. http://eastlondonnews.co.uk/has-two-jobs-john-written-off-1m-that-mayor-lutfur-rahman-tried-to-retrieve/
The Jamaats in the UK have many News portals under many names of Bangladeshi Patroism, and Muslim to get their Politics infiltrated into the Mainstream Bangladeshi Community to brainwash for their politics, now you are even seeing many Bangladesh UK Youths Joining their Wahhabi Friends ISIS. because of their Right Wing Dirty Politics of smearing and lying.
Yes we know about them. See below.
If I’m wrong then do correct me but, wasn’t East London News the successor to London Bangla, the editor of which recently lost a very high profile High Court case again Helal Abbas Uddin? Was it the same disgusting Trotskyist Livingstone pile of shit that were behind the whole of the failed Respect experiment? Isn’t Jenny Fisher, another disgusting low life Trot, editor now of East End News? I think we should be told.
Why has this not happened in LBTH?http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/ex-fire-chief-convicted-after-caught-6005310
£5,000 fine and/or 12 months in prison for voting twice?
Och aye.
Since at least from 1974, when I saw the standard of maths work done by primary school children in Glasgow, Scots generally have higher standards than the Sassonacks.
The fact that the Scots Police, unlike the infamous Met, had an election fraud operation set-up and actually active means they were really serious about stopping voting crimes.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Hogan-Howe’s cowboys and gals busy on another long coffee-break, have done nothing commendable about the two individuals named in the Election Petition judgement. Will they ever ?

Slightly o/t but some good new re the lying, corrupt ex-Mayor.

All we want now is for the Hogan-Howe cowboys and gals to gallop into action, just as soon as they have finished their incredible long coffee pause.
Again, slight o/t. The corruptly elected Rabina Khan has been deleted from Wikipedia for failing to meet its notability criterion.

No great surprise.

Important THF fragments are disappearing without much trace.
Is it the sad end of a splendid Tower Hamlets era gradually fading into oblivion ?
Bored fans of Rabina can still read:

I see that Oliur Rhaman, Mahbub Alam and other remnants of the corruptly elected ex-THF mob have been bleating on about the decision on Rich Mix. Odd that they seem to have forgotten that Mahbub Alam is on the board!
