Lutfur Rahman: the journey so far… (his campaign video)

February 6, 2014 by trialbyjeory

Not many words needed for this campaign video, really: watching is everything, seeing is believing.

(Andrew Gilligan and I star at about 8 minutes in, secretly and evilly conspiring talking to each other about how the next four years would be storyville.)

Enjoy:

Anyone who believes this garbage needs to seriously reduce their medication, or check themselves into a mental asylum ASAP.

The ludicrous claims and comments from Lutfur and his cronies really do insult the intelligence of the vast majority of the Tower Hamlets electorate who’ve witnessed his, and his cabinets’ behaviour for the past few years.

Hopefully, people will come out in force to get this pitiful excuse for a politician thrown out in May.

I only hope that the next Mayor and current government instigate a full and in depth investigation of their alleged behaviour and the rumours which have been rife for years, and they all go down!!!!

The problem Shadwell man is that it is intended for a Bangladeshi audience who will take the endorsement of white people as being indicative of wider support among the population for Lutfur and his policies.

Milliband needs to do two things ASAP. Publicly expel anyone who has or has ever supported Rahman against a Labour candidate. That means Livingstone, Shawcroft, Lansman, the Landin brothers, Marc Francis, get rid of them.

Secondly, show his face in the East End. I have pointed out before that if he can’t take the place where the Labour Party was born he can’t take the country. The embezzlement of the Old Poplar Town Hall where the councillors voted to oppose the rate on the poor and went to prison is a disgrace that he should have been on TV about but what have we had? Not a peep.

He is a figure that all Bangladeshis know and his presence in Rahman strongholds pressing the flesh and urging a Labour vote will make a difference.

The video is not worrying, what is worrying is that this video has been created to go out on a viral before the election and more so on the community (Bangali) TV Channels as part of interviews and news (Not as a political ad) and the cup of mayorilty is back to Lutfur

With this video he will capture the mind and heart of those that dont understand or are not bothered with politics

Is the video downloadable for those without Flash / HTML 5 browsers ?

  4. on February 7, 2014 at 7:34 am Grave Maurice

The way this sad video begins reminds me ever so slightly of the start of ‘Knight Rider’… except Michael Knight goes on to drive a futuristic car, not make a cup of tea and then look at a book with big pictures in it whilst looking incredibly serious.

Can someone tell us who are those really quite scary Labour/Lutfur nasties, namely “Steve Brackett” and “Christine Shawcroft”…

And this Shawcroft android goes on to say that “Lutfur Rahman is a Muslim fundamentalist and he is extremely left wing. Now surely you can’t be both those things at the same time” oh you silly people who know nothing go and be good voters and do what I tell you. Actually, Christine, you can APPEAR to be both those things to different audiences quite easily; what side you really serve probably depends on the relative importance of politics or religion is in your life. The alliance between the Islamic far-right and the militant left is well understood. Check out the people who run the UAF for starters.

Grave Maurice. The two people you mention are the few people left standing from the hard/Trotskyist left remaining in the Labour Party . Shawcroft and Beckett along with the editor of Lutfur’s smear site East London News Jenny Fisher, were all involved with Livingstone’s Left Labour Briefing.

They were among the organisers of the Livingstone coup in 1981 which made him Chair of the GLC and ran the anti semitic smear campaign against Reg Freeson in Brent East which had him deselected as PPC and let Livingstone get the seat.

Both Livingstone and Shawcroft are candidates on the left slate for Labour NEC,www.leftfutures.org.uk and scroll down, look to the right. We now have clear links between Jon Lansman, Shawcroft, Beckett and Fisher openly supporting Lutfur Rahman against the Labour candidate.

If Milliband doesn’t now expel them all from the party e has lost the battle against the far left, will have become a laughing stock and can kiss the next general election goodbye. What more evidence does he need?

    • on February 7, 2014 at 4:41 pm oldford1

Ted, surely these unfounded accusations of anti-semitism are contrary to your comments policy?

      • on February 7, 2014 at 6:32 pm themadmullahofbricklane

oldford1/Labour Insider/Marc Francis I see you still haven’t explained your use of East London News paid for by Lutfur Rahman as the source of your rebuttal of the leaflet put out by Spitalfields residents exposing the corruption of Lutfur Rahman and his candidate in the last election Gulam Robbani.

You also didn’t deal with any of the very specific allegations in the leaflet, which I can put up again if necessary, only dismissing them as smears, innuendos and other forms of hyperbole the usual stock in trade of people who will not deal with very specific evidence.

As I pointed out, the editor of this pile of sleaze, which labelled Helal Abbas Uddin a wife beater, is the Trotskyist Jenny Fisher, a long time supporter of Livingstone who, when tired and emotional, is prone to let slip his his real feelings for Jews. People who, even when pissed, claim that there are Jewish conspiracies against them, tend to be regarded as anti semitic.

Interestingly I had a business meeting today the former owner of an up market bar/restaurant not a million miles from City Hall at which Livingstone and crew were regular customers. He claimed that in Livingstone’s second term he more or less paid off his mortgage on the booze bills settled on City Hall credit cards.

      • on February 7, 2014 at 7:41 pm oldford1

I can’t see where in that Guardian piece is the evidence for your assertion that Christrine Shawcroft and Stephen Beckett ran an anti-Semitic smear campaign.

    • on February 8, 2014 at 1:52 pm Grave Maurice

Jenny Fisher never washes herself or does any cleaning up at home whatsoever. It is in protest against the patriarchy. Strange times.

  6. on February 7, 2014 at 1:55 pm Shadwell Man

Fingers crossed, Milliband can kiss the general election win goodbye, and he can disappear into obscurity along with Lutfur and his miserable bunch of halfwit hypocrites.

Let’s finally get some people that actually want to do what’s best for the country and people in general. Not short-sighted fools, with questionable values, morals and a huge propensity to do what they like to the detriment of the public and it’s finances.

  7. on February 7, 2014 at 2:27 pm themadmullahofbricklane

Anyone you had in mind particularly Shadwell Man?

    • on February 7, 2014 at 2:43 pm Shadwell Man

I’m saw if you threw a dart at collage of pictures of Lutfur and his crew, any you hit would fit the bill. The same would go for Milliband and Balls.

      • on February 7, 2014 at 7:18 pm themadmullahofbricklane

I am not particularly impressed by Milliband either and even hard core Labour voters simply say he doesn’t look like a Prime Minister in waiting but the biggest evil is Lutfur Rahman and getting rid of him and his crew is the priority in Tower Hamlets.

My concern is that the support given to him by high profile Labour Party members who are also obviously fully paid up members of the loony left will play into the hands of the Tories and their press, it’s as simple as that.

It is clear that his press campaign is run by current members of the Labour Party and if Milliband doesn’t stamp on them, and this week, he will be downhill from here to the election. Kinnock, Smith and Blair all stood up to the far left and reshaped the party to make it electable. Milliband is doing so tentatively in his dealings with the unions but still has yet to stamp his authority on the party. If he body swerves this one he can kiss Number 10 goodbye.

Not a great watch!! I’d rate it a 2 out of 10. Cinematography very poor and the content was rubbish!

I don’t particularly like Luthfur or his style (photoman!). But he delivers – much more than the ‘power-mad’ labour candidates. The in-fights in the Labour Party is disgraceful… period.

Those who think that Luthfur AKA ‘Photoman’ is a candidate for the Bangladeshis only are kidding! Most decent folks are really tired of Labour’s hypocrisies. The ‘photoman’ is what he is but not a hypocrite!

Decent people – white, brown or black – will vote the ‘photoman’ than anyone in a hypo-guise!

  10. on February 7, 2014 at 10:04 pm themadmullahofbricklane

It’s easy oldford1/Marc, I didn’t. The campaign against Freeson was orchestrated by whichever Trotskyist group became Socialist Action. The twists and turns of Trotskyism are of interest to them and very few other people. I don’t know if Becket and Shawcroft were involved and I never said they were. What you have done in your own inimitable style is to try and muddy the waters by asking totally irrelevant questions while avoiding the obvious ones.

  11. on February 8, 2014 at 12:52 am themadmullahofbricklane

The answer to that question oldford1/marc is that there isn’t. The smear campaign against Reg Freeson was run by members of whatever predecessor group there was to Socialist Action. Was it the IMG, I can’t remember they changed their names all the time.

Using the classic entrist tactic or renting bedsits they moved into Brent East Labour Party and took over control of various committees. Freesons supporters were of course getting on a bit in years and weren’t as zealous as they might have been combating the take over.

Livingstone’s supporters ran a particularly nasty smear campaign even b their standards. Whether or not Becket and Shawcroft were personally involved I don’t know, ask them. What is undeniable is the anti semitism that has run through the Livingstone/Trot element of the left in London.

      => Mr Mullah

Your eloquence, passion and vitality is refreshing. Your revelations worrying.

Shame you haven’t formed your own group of non-political residents to fight the local elections. Labour are just as crap as the rest. Labour spawned Son of Labour, just like like they spawned Militant Tendency and all the others.

Remember the good old days when Labour brought this country to its knees ? Then the Tories flogged-off the Family Silver (quoter by Super Mac).

There should be no money/power/social status/corrupt/weak/insipid people ostensible running (but they don’t really) local government. Local government should be about restoring happiness and well-being to all the residents and putting a warm friendly smile back on their miserable stressed faces.

      Curious Cat.

      Who’s banned you?

  13. on February 8, 2014 at 10:29 am John Wright

I see this conversation has continued into its usual useless circle, usually involving the failures of the past.
Lutfur (love him or hate him) is succeeding because he constantly pushes out propaganda portraying himself as a fantastic all inclusive leader. Yes folks, some people may actually believe him and will probably vote for him.
John Biggs. (love him or hate him) must upgrade his profile. I bet if a street poll was taken, the majority would say “Who is John Biggs”, that is the problem. I would love it if the TH population demanded public debates between John And Lutfur before the election, but maybe one of them would refuse because of his Human Rights.

    • on February 8, 2014 at 11:49 am Shadwell Man

      John,

You’re right. It’s a shames that the government hasn’t stepped in to make Loony Lutfur and his crooked cronies tow the line. They, and many other LBTH politicians are making a mockery out of local government, and probably linin their own pockets in the process.

We need to stop whining, and bring this crooks to account!!!

      • on February 10, 2014 at 12:14 am Curious Cat

        => Shadwell Man

English local government is unregulated. That is why many local authorities are corrupt, incompetent and wasteful of the public’s hard-earned cash.

        Curious Cat.

      => John Wright rightly pointed-out

I bet if a street poll was taken, the majority would say “Who is John Biggs

All it takes is one A4 colour leaflet, printed both sides, with the words on the front stating

      John says ………

and then in smaller, but clearly and easily readable print, words like “John Biggs believes Town Hamlets should become e a much better place for everyone, with better education for our children, better paying jobs for locals and a decrease in Council Tax.”

“The council’s attitude and public services need improvement. No more wanting months for council repairs.”

“People like John because he is an honest, outspoken and energetic campaigner supporting the citizens of Tower Hamlets”.

“If you have a problem the council is ignoring please ring John’s office on 020-xxxx xxxxx or fax 020-xxxx xxxx or email john@xxxxxxxx.net”

Don’t mention Labour. The objective is one simple message, promote JOHN

P.S. Have a suitable domain in mind and its currently unregistered.

The telephone numbers will cost £2+VAT monthly and faxes will be send to an email address as PDF files. Seems Labbur just don’t ‘ave a clue.

      Curious Cat.

This is Lutfur’s favourite video, me thinks
