Dear readers,
Like several councillors in Tower Hamlets, I’ve decided to move out of the borough.
But unlike those members for Ilford (shall I name them?), I now live much closer to the town hall—one DLR stop away from it in Canning Town to be precise.
And fear not, because like them I retain a qualifying interest in Tower Hamlets (not that I need one), so I’ll continue to write about the lovely place.
Yours,
Ted
PS I grew up in the Principality of Wales, and I now find myself living in the Kingdom of Wales…where the national colour is also red. I’m hoping there will also be plenty of leeks. Newham councillors are sure to understand.
Great, maybe you’ll start looking at Newham’s administration. I can get you started if you like…
let’s meet mike
No problem. DM me on twitter and we’ll arrange something.
I do hope you’re planning in invite Lutfur to your housewarming party. I’m sure he’s looking forward to it. And you can be sure he’ll know the numbers of all the local cab firms when it comes to going-home time!
Tim.

I think you’ll find it’s really blue.
Or perhaps ‘blue lamp’, bearing in mind a tense and drunken altercation between a senior politician and members of Sussex Constabulary at this year’s Labour Party conference.
You’ll like your new Mayor and the political set up there. It’s your type of politcs; one man, one party and no debate in council meetings. Don’t worry too much if your streets are not cleaned regularly or if the local school’s a bit rowdy, its all a price worth paying for living in an advanced Chinese democracy. Oh yes, don’t get too close to your neighbours; they might be moved up north soon. Good luck in you new home.
Interestingly pithy summary there Imran. I wonder what a similar synopsis of LBTH would look like?
Tim.
Can’t be asked to Google, what does pithy mean Tim?
It’s something of a shame that those non-rowdy local schools can’t even teach something as simple as using google – wouldn’t you agree Imran?

Well at least in Newham rate payers money isn’t being systematically redistributed along racial lines, people are not targetted by Nazi street gangs because they are deemed “un-Islamic”, and the council doesn’t openly praise fascistic front operations like the IFE as “progressive” organisations “which we should work with”. Also, in Newham, it is safe for white tourists to spend longer than three days here before getting permanently scarred and Newham Council doesn’t do everything it possibly can to amplify a self imposed ghettoisation, justify these thugs behaviour and enrich their mates.
From one extreme to another – welcome to Newham. Hope your cover the growing issues around race locally with the same enthusiasm as you did in Tower Hamlets. Understand your a big fan of our beloved leader already, but hope you will listen to us lesser mortals. Key meeting next week, but guess your sources have already told you that – more than welcome for an alternative insight into the local issues
well? will you reveal the names of councillors living in Ilford? The public need to know about these scumbags. Thanks for keeping them on their toes Ted. Maybe the ratepayer needs to pay you for the scrutiny service. What cost transparency?
Bow-Wow’s question is a good one. Do councillors not have to declare on public record where they live? (Or is it a matter of having several addresses; one to declare and one to actually live at?)
So, which councillors live out of borough?
Tim.
We know that Bill Turner lives in Barking and Dagenham from the Full Council recording. Let us know the rest Ted.
